For brand new students to jiu jitsu or martial arts. This is a low impact, shallow water introduction to self-defense and its benefits. Students are welcome to stay for the Fundamentals class right after.

In 2019, Ralph Gracie Mountain View moved to San Jose after 25 years. In 2020, our sister dojo in Santa Clara was opened to accommodate a growing student body. Our head instructor, Gene Kim, has 15+ years of experience under Ralph Gracie.
For newer students, we focus on straightforward techniques with the help of advanced students, improving physical fitness, and BJJ lifestyle. Sparring is optional.
For students of all levels, this class provides physical fitness, detailed demonstrations of techniques, and live sparring to practice techniques in developing a BJJ flow.
