After School Club
We offer kids after school club Monday through Friday after school. Mental focus, mentorship and physical fitness are the pillars of our cirriculum to introduce BJJ techniques in a fun manner approriate for younger students. Students gain self-confidence in a manner that reflects in academics.
We are located just a short distance from John Muir Middle School, Reed Elementary School and Branham High School. Other nearby schools include Pioneer High School and Leland High School, Los Alamitos Elementary School, Racherl Carson Elementary School, Allen At Steineck Elementary School, Simonds Elementary School, and Williams Elementary School.
Each year approximately one-third of adolescents worldwide are the target of bullying. Lives are forever changed s a result. Bullying is different from just playing around or peer conflict. It occurs when a student, or group of students, repeatedly hurt or humiliate another student. Bullying and harassment often cause lasting physical and mental harm, marginalize diverse students and negatively impact the entire school culture.
Through BJJ, our students become more confident in their physical abilities in order to protect themselves. More important, students develop situational intelligence in order to avoid conflict altogether. Our atmostphere of respect for one another and common goals becomes a model for children trying to negotiate their role in society and ocassional confict.
